If you work in the property preservation industry, you can understand the importance of taking quality pictures of the property to get the job done efficiently. These photos should be exclusively specific about the fact that all the verification process is complete.
The criteria for taking photos in the property preservation business:
- The photo should be date/time stamped as per client’s requirements.
- The photos should be high quality and not blurry.
- Photos have to be coloured.
- Bidding photos should be taken within 30 days of submission of a bid.
- All the photos should be at the same angle before & after to observe the progress made.
- Only service request photos are eligible to be submitted.
- Restrict duplicate photos when not necessary.
- Front, side and rear-view photos should be clicked from a distance where the entire property is visible.
- No sideways or upside-down photos accepted.
- It is advisable to keep only four photos per page.
Following are the initial and ongoing photos requirement of the interior and exterior part of the property (based on each client’s requirements):
- Front, back and side view photos to understand property area and condition on the date of providing the required service.
- Lockbox and keys photos.
- Photos of every room and covering the whole space as much as possible in the photos.
- Photos of all electrical circuit.
- Before, during, and after photographs showing all interior and exterior work order completed.
- During photographs should incorporate removal photos of all current/past things, if relevant, i.e., garbage displayed in truck beds, dumpsters, and trailers.
- Photos of rekey/lockboxes, fence and outbuilding locks.
- Photos of contractor/servicer posting.
- Subsequent photos of both sides of the property taken from a distance, so both sides are entirely visible.
- Before, during and after photos of all exterior/interior services completed, as per this Property Preservation Guidelines.
- During photos must show the removal of all the existing and old materials if applicable, which is the debris found in dumpsters, truck beds, trailers.
